Specialized Orthopedics & Joint Replacement Surgeries in Pa.

Suffering from chronic neck, back, knee, or hip pain? Have you tried conservative treatments and failed at finding relief? If you’re experiencing chronic pain in your joints due to an injury or arthritis, you understand the effect that it has on your everyday life. When arthritis or injuries are severe, you may be a good candidate for a hip or knee replacement.

Whole Health Joint Replacement Institute offers expertise in the areas of specialized orthopedics and same-day joint replacements. Having completed over 1,200 total joint replacement surgeries in a year — four times as many as any leading competitor — we know what it takes to set our patients up for the best possible outcome. Whole Health says yes to those in need of a joint replacement and no to quick fixes that may produce long-term complications. We offer patients at higher risk, the chance to medically optimize themselves in order to undergo a joint replacement operation and reduce or even eliminate potential complications. Whole Health believes in thoroughly educating our patients about our specialized orthopedic procedures, which in turn leads to more successful outcomes, shorter recovery times, and healthier long-term lifestyles. Patients can work with us by modifying their behaviors and strengthening their mental health alongside their physical health.

Talk with Whole Health Joint Replacement Institute about having your knee, shoulder, hip, or other extremities evaluated to determine whether a same-day joint replacement may be for you.

Total Hip Replacements | Direct Anterior Hip Replacement

If you’re experiencing severe hip or back pain, a decrease in your range of motion, or stiffness that will not subside, you may be a candidate for a hip replacement surgery. As a leader in specialized orthopedics, Whole Health offers Direct Anterior, Posterior, and Direct Lateral hip replacements. While the Direct Anterior Approach can be very challenging for any surgeon from a technical standpoint, it is also the most minimally invasive approach to completing a total hip replacement. Dr. Molli and his experienced team at Whole Health has completed over 2,500 of these same-day hip replacement procedures and counting. Read more to find out if one of our comprehensive hip replacement solutions may be right for you.

Total & Partial Knee Replacements | Kinematic Alignment & The Moto Partial Knee System

If you experience severe knee pain during activity and at rest in addition to a decreased range of motion and stiffness that doesn’t go away after non-surgical treatment, you may be a candidate for knee replacement surgery. At Whole Health, we have performed over 200 total knee replacements in a single year, and fortunately for our patients, none of them required a primary care referral. Our own Dr. Molli is also one of the four creators of the medial unicompartmental replacement known as the Moto Partial Knee System, which is capable of fitting 10 different femur sizes. Should you require a total knee arthroplasty down the road, our partial knee replacements can be easily converted by our expert team of physicians, surgeons, and post-operative professionals.

Shoulder Replacements

Although shoulder joint replacement is less common than knee or hip replacement, it is just as successful in relieving joint pain. There are several conditions that can cause shoulder pain and disability; if you are suffering from any of the following, you may want to consider a same-day shoulder joint replacement:

  • Osteoarthritis (Degenerative Joint Disease)
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Post-traumatic Arthritis
  • Rotator Cuff Tear Arthropathy
  • Avascular Necrosis (Osteonecrosis)
  • Severe Fractures

The decision to have shoulder replacement surgery should be a cooperative one between you, your family, and your orthopedic surgeon. The Whole Health Joint Replacement Institute will evaluate and review whether same day shoulder joint replacement is the best solution for you. We will also discuss alternative treatment options, including lifestyle changes you can make that would supplement any potential procedures. At Whole Health, we believe in educating our patients so they know what kind of habits can assist in a quick and successful recovery.

Had hip replacement surgery today… back home and feeling great. Very grateful to have someone of this caliber in Crawford County. From the check in person to Dr. Molli I cannot thank you all enough for your excellent care!

Dr. Frndak is an amazing surgeon, caring, and devoted to his patients. My first experience with him was in 1994, when, as a new surgeon, he re-replaced my total knee , and most recently, in October of 2019, when he replaced my husband’s hip. I have the utmost faith in him and his skills, and can’t recommend him enough.

My father had a wonderful experience with Dr. Molli and staff! He came out of surgery and was very grateful for how well he was cared for and respected as a patient!! Highly recommend this team!! Thank you for all you do for our community!

My dad went in December 30 for a total knee replacement. February 14th he turned 85 and is back at full movement and extremely happy with the results. Thank you Dr. Molli and your staff for a job well done and helping to keep our dad active.

I am so thankful Meadville has such a highly qualified orthopedic surgeon such as Dr. Frndak. I didn’t have to do any searching for a surgeon as he has a great reputation in Meadville and “word of mouth” sometimes says it all! I wouldn’t trust any other to perform my two hip replacements, and in the near future; I will be having both knees replaced. He did a wonderful job with my hip replacements although mine weren’t “typical” hip replacement as I had Congenital Hip Dysplasia with my hip sockets not fully formed. He did a wonderful job in getting the hips in line and where they should be. His medical knowledge and ethics make him an awesome physician. There is no need to go out of town to have any joint replacements.

I had my partial knee replacement surgery 2/26/20. They give you so much information and you really learn about the procedure before surgery. They provide you with medications that are thorough for every aspect of your healing process. I feel like I was taken care from the beginning (pre-op), surgery and after care. It was an odd time during the quarantine but I knew they were just a phone call away. I cannot say enough about what a positive experience this was. I’m feeling good and looking forward to getting stronger. Such a great feeling of finally being out of constant pain. Thank you Dr. Molli and crew. I’m so happy with you all! I’m getting my life back and it’s a wonderful feeling. Thank you so much.

I just wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying my new knees, I am able to go on long walks and be active in other ways with NO PAIN! You did a super job!

My partial knee surgery and recovery were MADE EASY because of you! Thank you for being the BEST!

He put my mind at ease and I never once doubted anything he said. He was so good to me and I have had terrific results because of him. Thank God I investigated before I had the surgery because I feel I got the very best doctor and because of my good outcome many, many people I know have gone to him for surgery or advice. Thank you Dr. Frndak!
